بَابُ تَحْدِيدِ الزَّمَانِ وَالْمَكَانِ الَّذِي حَصَلَ فِيهِ اللعَانُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم
Chapter: Specifying the Time and Place Where Li'an Occurred During the Time of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him)
Hadith 7210
عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّهُ شَهِدَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الْمُتَلَاعِنَيْنِ فَتَلَاعَنَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ وَأَنَا ابْنُ خَمْسَ عَشْرَةَ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنْ أَمْسَكْتُهَا فَقَدْ كَذَبْتُ عَلَيْهَا ق
Narrated by Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d Sa’idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was present with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) during the incident of Li’an that occurred in the time of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when a husband and wife performed Li’an with each other. He says that at that time he was fifteen years old. The husband who performed Li’an said: O Messenger of Allah! If I now keep my wife with me, it is as if I have made a false accusation against her, therefore I will not keep her with me. Sayyiduna Sahl bin Sa’d (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The woman who performed Li’an gave birth to a child with an undesirable attribute.
