It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Women who seek khula (divorce) and those who demand separation from their husbands are hypocrites.
Hadith 7173
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sahl bin Abi Hathmah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyidah Habibah bint Sahl (may Allah be pleased with her) was married to Sayyiduna Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him). Sayyiduna Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) was not handsome, so Sayyidah Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! If the fear of Allah did not come before me, I would spit on Thabit’s face when I see him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Habibah! Will you return the garden that Thabit gave you as dowry? She said: Yes. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to Sayyiduna Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), and he came. Sayyidah Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) returned the garden to him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) separated them. This was the first khula’ that took place in Islam.

It is narrated from Sayyida Habibah bint Sahal Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), she was married to Thabit bin Qais (may Allah be pleased with him). When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came out for the Fajr prayer, he found Habibah at his door, while it was still dark. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Who is this? She said: It is I, Habibah bint Sahal. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: What has happened to you, is everything alright? She said: My husband Thabit and I can no longer live together. Upon hearing this, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called Sayyiduna Thabit, and when he came, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: This is Habibah bint Sahal, she has told me about her feelings, she does not want to stay with you. At that moment, Sayyida Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Whatever Thabit gave me is still with me. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him): Take back your property. So he took his property from her and she went back to her family.
