Hadith 7147
عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَلَّقَ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتَ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ثُمَّ ارْتَجَعَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Asim bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, divorced Sayyida Hafsa bint Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and then took her back.
Hadith 7148
عَنْ لَقِيطِ بْنِ صَبِرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ لِي امْرَأَةً فَذَكَرَ مِنْ طُولِ لِسَانِهَا وَإِيذَائِهَا فَقَالَ طَلِّقْهَا قَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّهَا ذَاتُ صُبْحَةٍ وَوَلَدٍ قَالَ فَأَمْسِكْهَا وَأْمُرْهَا فَإِنْ يَكُ فِيهَا خَيْرٌ فَسَتَفْعَلُ وَلَا تَضْرِبْ ظَعِينَتَكَ ضَرْبَكَ أَمَتَكَ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Laqit bin Sabrah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! I have a wife," then he complained about her sharp tongue and causing him distress. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Divorce her." He said, "O Messenger of Allah! She is an old companion of life and I have children from her." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then keep her with you, but continue to advise her. If there is any good in her, she will accept it. However, do not beat your wife as a slave is beaten."
Hadith 7149
عَنْ ثَوْبَانَ مَوْلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَيُّمَا امْرَأَةٍ سَأَلَتْ زَوْجَهَا الطَّلَاقَ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَا بَأْسٍ فَحَرَامٌ عَلَيْهَا رَائِحَةُ الْجَنَّةِ
Mawla-e-Rasool Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Any woman who demands divorce from her husband without necessity, the fragrance of Paradise will be forbidden for her.
Hadith 7150
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَخْطُبُ الرَّجُلُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ وَلَا تُنْكَحُ الْمَرْأَةُ عَلَى عَمَّتِهَا وَلَا عَلَى خَالَتِهَا وَلَا تَسْأَلُ طَلَاقَ أُخْتِهَا لِتَكْتَفِئَ مَا فِي صَحْفَتِهَا وَلْتَنْكِحْ فَإِنَّمَا لَهَا مَا كَتَبَ اللَّهُ لَهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A man should not propose to a woman to whom his brother has already proposed; a woman should not be married in the presence of her paternal or maternal aunt; no woman should ask for her sister to be divorced so that she may pour what is in her sister’s cup into her own; she should marry, for she will receive whatever Allah Almighty has decreed for her.
Hadith 7151
عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ كَانَتْ تَحْتِي امْرَأَةٌ أُحِبُّهَا وَكَانَ عُمَرُ يَكْرَهُهَا فَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَيْتُ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ إِنَّ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ امْرَأَةً كَرِهْتُهَا لَهُ فَأَمَرْتُهُ أَنْ يُطَلِّقَهَا فَأَبَى فَقَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ! طَلِّقْ امْرَأَتَكَ)) فَطَلَّقْتُهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, he says: I had a woman in my marriage, I loved her very much, but my father, Sayyiduna Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, disliked her. So he ordered me to divorce her, but I refused. He went to the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, and said: O Messenger of Allah! Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, has a wife whom I dislike. I told him to divorce her, but he refused. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Abdullah! Divorce your wife. So I divorced her.
