بَابُ فِي الرَّحْصَةِ فِي الْعَزْلِ
Chapter: Concession in Coitus Interruptus
Hadith 7082
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ كُنَّا نَعْزِلُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَالْقُرْآنُ يَنْزِلُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: We used to practice coitus interruptus during the time of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the Noble Qur'an was being revealed.
Hadith 7083
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ لِي جَارِيَةً وَهِيَ خَادِمُنَا وَسَانِيَتُنَا أَطُوفُ عَلَيْهَا وَأَنَا أَكْرَهُ أَنْ تَحْمِلَ قَالَ اعْزِلْ عَنْهَا إِنْ شِئْتَ فَإِنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا قَالَ فَلَبِثَ الرَّجُلُ ثُمَّ أَتَاهُ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْجَارِيَةَ قَدْ حَمَلَتْ فَقَالَ قَدْ أَخْبَرْتُكَ أَنَّهُ سَيَأْتِيهَا مَا قُدِّرَ لَهَا
Narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have a slave girl, she serves us and brings water, I have intercourse with her, but I dislike her becoming pregnant. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you wish to practice coitus interruptus with her, then do so, but whatever is destined for her will come to pass. After some time, that man came and said: That slave girl has become pregnant. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I had told you that whatever is destined for her will come to pass.
Hadith 7084
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَصَبْنَا سَبْيًا فِي يَوْمِ حُنَيْنٍ فَكُنَّا نَلْتَمِسُ فِدَاءَهُنَّ فَسَأَلْنَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ اصْنَعُوا مَا بَدَا لَكُمْ فَمَا قَضَى اللَّهُ فَهُوَ كَائِنٌ فَلَيْسَ مِنْ كُلِّ الْمَاءِ يَكُونُ الْوَلَدُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: On the day of Hunayn, we obtained slave girls, and we desired wealth in exchange for them, so we asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about coitus interruptus (azl). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Do it as long as you deem appropriate, but what Allah has decreed will surely happen. Not all semen results in offspring, (it happens from a single drop).
Hadith 7085
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنَّ لِي أَمَةً وَأَنَا أَعْزِلُ عَنْهَا وَأَنِّي أَكْرَهُ أَنْ تَحْمِلَ وَإِنَّ الْيَهُودَ تَزْعَمُ أَنَّهَا الْمَوْؤُودَةُ الصُّغْرَى قَالَ كَذَبَتْ يَهُودُ إِذَا أَرَادَ اللَّهُ أَنْ يَخْلُقَهُ لَمْ تَسْتَطِعْ أَنْ تَرُدَّهُ
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrates that a man said to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "I have a slave woman, and I do not want her to become pregnant, so I practice coitus interruptus with her. The Jews think that this is a form of minor infanticide." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Jews lie. When Allah intends to create something, you do not have the power to prevent it."
Hadith 7086
عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ جَاءَ رَجُلٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَسَأَلَ عَنِ الْعَزْلِ فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَوْ أَنَّ الْمَاءَ الَّذِي يَكُونُ مِنْهُ الْوَلَدُ أَهْرَقْتَهُ عَلَى صَخْرَةٍ لَأَخْرَجَ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ مِنْهَا أَوْ لَخَرَجَ مِنْهَا وَلَدٌ الشَّكُّ مِنْهُ وَلَيَخْلُقَنَّ اللَّهُ نَفْسًا هُوَ خَالِقُهَا
Narrated by Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him): A man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and inquired about coitus interruptus (‘azl). The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If the semen from which offspring is to be created, you were to spill it upon a rock, Allah Almighty would still bring forth offspring from it. Allah Almighty will surely create every soul that He intends to create.
