بَابُ التَّسْمِيَةِ وَالسَّسَتْرِ عِنْدَ الْجِمَاعِ وَالْوُضُوءِ عِنْدَ الْعَوْدِ وَغَيْرِ ذَلِكَ
Chapter: Naming and Covering During Intercourse, Ablution When Returning, and Other Matters
Hadith 7072
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَوْ أَنَّ أَحَدَهُمْ إِذَا أَتَى أَهْلَهُ قَالَ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ اللَّهُمَّ جَنِّبْنِي الشَّيْطَانَ وَجَنِّبِ الشَّيْطَانَ مَا رَزَقْتَنَا فَإِنْ قُدِّرَ بَيْنَهُمَا فِي ذَلِكَ وَلَدٌ لَمْ يَضُرَّ ذَلِكَ الْوَلَدَ الشَّيْطَانُ أَبَدًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever recites this supplication before approaching his wife: Bismillah, Allahumma jannibni ash-shaytaan wa jannib ash-shaytaana ma razaqtana (In the name of Allah, O Allah! Keep me away from Satan and keep Satan away from what You grant us as offspring), then if a child is decreed for them from this union, Satan will never be able to harm that child.
Hadith 7073
عَنْ بَهْزِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ حَيْدَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ عَوْرَاتُنَا مَا نَأْتِي مِنْهَا وَمَا نَذَرُ قَالَ احْفَظْ عَوْرَتَكَ إِلَّا مِنْ زَوْجَتِكَ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ يَمِينُكَ قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فَإِذَا كَانَ الْقَوْمُ بَعْضُهُمْ فِي بَعْضٍ قَالَ إِنِ اسْتَطَعْتَ أَنْ لَا يَرَاهَا أَحَدٌ فَلَا يَرَيَنَّهَا قُلْتُ فَإِذَا كَانَ أَحَدُنَا خَالِيًا قَالَ فَاللَّهُ أَحَقُّ أَنْ يُسْتَحْيَا مِنْهُ وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ وَوَضَعَ يَدَهُ عَلَى فَرْجِهِ
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Haydah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! From whom among our private parts (i.e., the areas that must be covered) can we see, and from whom can we not see?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Protect your private parts from everyone except your wife and your slave woman." Muawiyah says: I asked, "O Messenger of Allah! What if people are together with each other?" He said: "If you are able that no one sees (your private parts), then let no one see them." Muawiyah says: I asked, "What if a man is alone?" He replied: "Allah has more right that one should feel shy before Him." According to one narration (to clarify the matter), the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) raised his hand and placed it on his private part.
Hadith 7074
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ مَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَرْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطُّ أَوْ مَا رَأَيْتُ فَرْجَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَطُّ
Narrated by Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she said: I have never seen the private parts of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
Hadith 7075
عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِذَا أَتَى الرَّجُلُ أَهْلَهُ ثُمَّ أَرَادَ الْعَوْدَ تَوَضَّأَ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man has intercourse with his wife and then wishes to return (to her), he should perform ablution.
Hadith 7076
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ يَتَوَضَّأُ إِذَا جَامَعَ وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْجِعَ قَالَ سُفْيَانُ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ أَدْرَكَ الْحَرَّةَ
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a man intends to have intercourse, he should perform ablution; similarly, when he wishes to have intercourse again, he should perform ablution again. Imam Sufyan said: Abu Sa'id had met Harrah.
