It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you is invited to a wedding feast (walimah), he should attend that walimah.
(Second chain) The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any of you is invited to a wedding feast (walima), he should accept that invitation.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any one of you invites his brother, he should accept this invitation, whether it is a wedding invitation or any other.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When any of you is invited and he is fasting, then he should say that he is fasting.
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever is invited should accept it; if he is not fasting, he should eat, and if he is fasting, he should pray for the host.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When any of you is invited, he should accept the invitation; then if he wishes, he may eat, and if he wishes, he may not eat.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When someone is invited, he should accept it. Or he said: He should attend the invitation. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) would accept every invitation, whether he was fasting or not.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, he said: The food of the wedding feast (walimah) is the worst food, in which the rich are invited and the poor are left out, although it is a rightful invitation; whoever leaves it has disobeyed. The words of the narrator Mu’ammar are: Whoever did not accept the invitation has disobeyed Allah Almighty and His Messenger, peace and blessings be upon him.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever does not accept an invitation has disobeyed Allah and His Messenger (peace and blessings be upon him).
It is narrated from Abu Ghadiyah Yamani, he says: I came to Madinah, the messenger of Kathir bin Salt came and invited the people of the mosque, only Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and five more men stood up, I was one of them, so these people went and ate food. When Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) returned, he washed his hands and said: By Allah! O people of the mosque! Indeed, you are disobedient to Abu al-Qasim (peace and blessings be upon him).
