بيان موانع النكاحExplanation of Impediments to Marriage
بَابُ مَنْ أَسْلَمَ وَتَحْتَه أَخْتَانِ أَوْ أَكْثَرُ مِنْ أَرْبَعِ وَفِيهِ الْعَدَدُ الْمُبَاحُ لِلْحُرِ وَالْعَبْدِ وَمَا خُصَّ بِهِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم
Chapter: One Who Accepted Islam While Having Two Sisters or More Than Four Wives, and the Permissible Number for Free Men and Slaves, and What Was Specific to the Prophet (peace be upon him)
Hadith 7012
عَنْ سَالِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ غَيْلَانَ بْنَ سَلَمَةَ الثَّقَفِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَسْلَمَ وَتَحْتَهُ عَشْرُ نِسْوَةٍ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اخْتَرْ مِنْهُنَّ أَرْبَعًا
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when Sayyiduna Ghailan bin Salamah Thaqafi entered the fold of Islam, he had ten wives in his marriage. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Choose four of them (and leave the rest)."
Hadith 7013
عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَدُورُ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ فِي السَّاعَةِ الْوَاحِدَةِ مِنَ اللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَهُنَّ إِحْدَى عَشْرَةَ قَالَ قُلْتُ لِأَنَسٍ وَهَلْ كَانَ يُطِيقُ ذَلِكَ قَالَ كُنَّا نَتَحَدَّثُ أَنَّهُ أُعْطِيَ قُوَّةَ ثَلَاثِينَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, during one hour of the night or day, would go to all of his wives and fulfill the rights of marriage with them. At that time, their number was eleven. I said to Sayyiduna Anas: Did the Prophet have that much strength? He replied: We used to say among ourselves that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, was given the strength of thirty men.
Hadith 7014
عَنْ مَطَرٍ الْوَرَّاقِ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كَانَ نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطُوفُ عَلَى تِسْعِ نِسْوَةٍ فِي ضَحْوَةٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, used to visit (have intercourse with) his nine wives in one day.
Hadith 7015
عَنِ الضَّحَّاكِ بْنِ فَيْرُوزَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ فَيْرُوزَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَدْرَكَهُ الْإِسْلَامُ وَتَحْتَهُ أُخْتَانِ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَلِّقْ أَيَّتَهُمَا شِئْتَ
Dhahhak says: When my father Firoz accepted Islam, he had two sisters in his marriage. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: Leave whichever one of them you wish.
Hadith 7016
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ أَسْلَمْتُ وَعِنْدِي امْرَأَتَانِ أُخْتَانِ فَأَمَرَنِي النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُطَلِّقَ إِحْدَاهُمَا
(Second chain) He says: When I embraced Islam, I had two wives and they were sisters. The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, ordered me to divorce one of them.
