It is narrated from Saeed bin Abi Saeed Maqbari that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: A person who has been punished for adultery does not marry except with someone like himself.
Hadith 7009
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a Muslim sought permission from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) to marry a woman named Umm Mahzool. This woman used to commit adultery and she had also set the condition that she would spend on him. In any case, this Muslim sought permission from the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) or mentioned her matter to him. In response, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) recited this verse: "A fornicator does not marry except a fornicatress or a polytheist." (Surah An-Nur: 2)
