It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed both the one who performs Halalah and the one for whom it is performed.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed these individuals: the one who gives usury, the one who takes usury, its two witnesses, the one who performs halalah, and the one for whom halalah is performed.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) cursed both the one who performs Halalah and the one for whom it is performed.
Narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The one in the state of Ihram should neither marry himself, nor arrange the marriage of another, nor send a proposal of engagement.
