Hadith 6965
Abbad bin Mansur says: I said to Qasim bin Muhammad: My father's wife nursed a girl from among the people for my brothers; now can I marry that girl? He said: No, because now your and that girl's father is the same. Then he narrated the hadith of Abu Qais, and it is as follows: Abu Qais came to Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) and sought permission to enter upon her, but she did not grant him permission. When the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) arrived, Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: O Messenger of Allah! Abu Qais came and sought permission to enter upon me, but I did not allow him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He is your uncle; he should come to you. I said: The woman nursed me, not the man? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am telling you, he is your uncle; he can come to you.
Hadith 6966
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting with me when I heard the voice of a man who was seeking permission to enter the house of Sayyida Hafsa (may Allah be pleased with her). I said: O Messenger of Allah! This man is seeking permission to enter your house? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I think he is such-and-such foster uncle of Hafsa. I said: O Messenger of Allah! If my such-and-such foster uncle were alive, could he enter upon me? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes, absolutely, indeed fosterage makes unlawful those relationships which are made unlawful by lineage and birth.
