Hadith 6908
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us the Khutbah al-Hajah, and that sermon was as follows: All praise is due to Allah, we seek His help, we ask His forgiveness, and we seek refuge with Allah from the evils of our own souls. Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide, and whomever He lets go astray, none can guide. I bear witness that there is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) is His servant and His Messenger. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite these three verses: {یَا أَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ آمَنُوْ اتَّقُوْا اللّٰہَ حَقَّ تُقَاتِہِ وَلَا تَمُوْتُنَّ اِلَّا وَأَنْتُمْ مُسْلِمُوْنَ۔ یَا أَیُّہَا النَّاسُ اتَّقُوْا رَبَّکُمُ الَّذِیْ خَلَقَکُمْ مِنْ نَفْسٍ وَاحِدَۃٍ وَخَلَقَ مِنْہَا زَوْجَہَا وَبَثَّ مِنْہُمَا رِجَالًا کَثِیْرًا وَنِسَائً، وَاتَّقُوْا اللّٰہَ الَّذِیْ تَسَائَ لُوْنَ بِہِ وَالْأَرْحَامَ اِنَّ اللّٰہَ کَانَ عَلَیْکُمْ رَقِیْبًا۔ یَا أَیُّہَا الَّذِیْنَ آمَنُوْا اتَّقُوْا اللّٰہَ وَقُوْلُوْا قُوْلًا سَدِیْدًایُصْلِحْ لَکُمْ أَعْمَالَکُمْ وَیَغْفِرْلَکُمْ ذُنُوْبَکُمْ وَمَنْ یُّطِعِ اللّٰہَ وَرَسُوْلَہُ فَقَدْ فَازَ فَوْزًا عَظِیْمًا} O you who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and do not die except as Muslims. (Surah Al-Imran: 102) O mankind! Fear your Lord, who created you from a single soul and created from it its mate and dispersed from both of them many men and women. And fear Allah, through whom you ask one another, and the ties of kinship. Indeed, Allah is ever, over you, an Observer. (Surah An-Nisa: 1) O you who have believed! Fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice. He will amend for you your deeds and forgive you your sins. And whoever obeys Allah and His Messenger has certainly attained a great success. (Surah Al-Ahzab: 70) Then mention your need and requirement.
Hadith 6909
(Second chain) Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught us two types of sermons: one is the sermon of need (Khutbat al-Hajah) and the other is the sermon of prayer. The sermon of need is as follows: Surely, all praise is for Allah Almighty, we seek help from Him, ... ... . Then a narration with the same meaning as the above-mentioned hadith was mentioned.
Hadith 6910
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) spoke to a man about something and said: All praise is due to Allah, we praise Him and seek His help. Whomever Allah guides, none can misguide him, and whomever He lets go astray, none can guide him. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, alone, without partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. Then he presented his matter.
Hadith 6911
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every sermon in which there is no testimony is like a severed hand.
Hadith 6912
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that when someone got married, the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, would congratulate him with these words: BĀRAKALLĀHU LAKA WA BĀRAKA ‘ALAYKA WA JAMA‘A BAYNAKUMĀ FĪ KHAIR (May Allah bless you, and shower blessings upon you, and unite both of you in goodness and well-being.)
Hadith 6913
Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Aqil narrates, he says: Sayyiduna Aqil bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) got married. When he came to us, we said: May there be harmony and unity, and may you have sons. He said: Stop, do not say it like this, because the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has forbidden this, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say like this: BĀRAKALLĀHU FĪKA WA BĀRAKA LAKA FĪHĀ (May Allah bless you and bless her for you).
Hadith 6914
. (Second chain) Sayyiduna Aqeel bin Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with him) married a woman from the Banu Jashm tribe. When people came to him, they said: May there be harmony and unity, and may you have sons. But he said: Do not say it like this. The people said: O Abu Yazid! Then what should we say? He said: You should say like this: BĀRAKALLĀHU LAKUM WA BĀRAKALLĀHU LAKUM WA BĀRAKALLĀHU ‘ALAYKUM (May Allah bless you, may Allah bless you, and may Allah bless you). We were commanded to say these supplicatory words.
