Hadith 6898
It is narrated from Hajjaj bin Saib that his grandmother (maternal or paternal), Umm Saib Khunas bint Khidam, was the wife of another man before coming under the marriage of Abu Lubabah. That man died and she became a widow. Then her father Khidam married her to a man from Banu Amr bin Awf bin Khazraj, but she refused to go to him and insisted that she wanted to marry Abu Lubabah. However, her father was adamant that she would only go to the house of a man from the tribe of Awf. Eventually, this matter was brought before the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This woman has more right over her own matter, so marry her according to her wish. Thus, she was separated from the man of Awf and married Abu Lubabah, from whom Saib bin Abi Lubabah was born.
Hadith 6899
Narrated from Sayyidah Khansa bint Khidam (may Allah be pleased with her) that her father married her to someone whom she disliked, while she had previously been widowed. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) annulled her marriage.
Hadith 6900
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Abu Wadi’ah Khidham married his daughter to a man, but the girl came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and complained that her marriage had been arranged while she disliked it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) separated her from that husband and said: Do not force women (into marriage). Then she married Abu Lubabah Ansari, while that woman had previously been a widow.
Hadith 6901
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a virgin girl came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said that her father had married her to a man whom she disliked. So the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave her the choice to stay (in the marriage) or not.
