Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, Allah Almighty has declared wine, gambling, and nard (or chess or musical instruments) unlawful for you. Also, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every intoxicating thing is unlawful.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Jibreel (peace be upon him) came to me and said: O Muhammad! Indeed, Allah Almighty has cursed regarding wine: the wine itself, the one who squeezes it, the one for whom it is squeezed, the one who drinks it, the one who carries it, the one to whom it is carried, the one who sells it, the one who buys it, the one who serves it, and the one who demands it to be served.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever drinks wine in this world will not drink it in the Hereafter, unless he repents.
