بَابٌ فِي أَنَّ حَدَّ الْقَذَفِ ثَمَانُونَ جَلَدَةٌ
Chapter: That the Hadd for Slander Is Eighty Lashes
Hadith 6750
عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ قَالَ: قَضَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي وَلَدِ الْمُتَلاَعِنَيْنِ: ((أَنَّهُ يَرِثُ أُمَّهُ وَتَرِثُهُ أُمُّهُ، وَمَنْ قَفَاهَا بِهِ جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ، وَمَنْ دَعَاهُ وَلَدَ زِنًا جُلِدَ ثَمَانِينَ))
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin al-As (may Allah be pleased with them both): Regarding the children of those who perform li'an, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave this ruling: These children will belong to their mother, and their mother will be their heir. And whoever accuses this woman (of adultery), he will be given eighty (80) lashes, and whoever declares such children to be children of adultery, he will also be given eighty (80) lashes.
Hadith 6751
عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: لَمَّا نَزَلَ عُذْرِي قَامَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْمِنْبَرِ فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ وَتَلَا الْقُرْآنَ فَلَمَّا نَزَلَ أَمَرَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ وَامْرَأَةٍ فَضُرِبُوا حَدَّهُمْ
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: When my innocence was revealed, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit, mentioned the matter, then recited the relevant verses of the Holy Qur'an, then when he descended from the pulpit, he ordered that the punishment be carried out on two men and one woman, so the punishment was carried out on them.
