Hadith 6723
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) ordered us to stone Ma'iz bin Malik. So we went out towards Baqi'. By Allah! We neither dug a pit for him nor tied him up; he stood by himself. We began to throw bones and pebbles at him. When he was hurt, he ran away quickly until he stood at one side of Harrah. Then we threw large stones at him until he died.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had a woman stoned and a pit was dug for her up to her chest.
Hadith 6725
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stoned a woman and ordered me to dig a pit for her, so I dug a pit as deep as my navel.
