Hadith 6717

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Buraidah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was sitting with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when a woman from the tribe of Ghamid came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! I have committed adultery and I want you to purify me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Go back. She came again the next day and confessed to adultery before you, saying: O Messenger of Allah! I have committed adultery and I want you to purify me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go back. The next day she came again and confessed to adultery before you and said: O Prophet of Allah! Purify me, perhaps you want to send me back just as you sent Ma'iz bin Malik back. By Allah! I am also pregnant because of adultery. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go back until you give birth to the child. So when she gave birth to the child, she came carrying the child and said: O Prophet of Allah! I have given birth to the child. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go back and nurse him until you wean him. When she had weaned him, she brought the child, and in his hand was a piece of bread, and she said: O Prophet of Allah! I have weaned him. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered that the child be entrusted to a Muslim man, and regarding the woman, he ordered that a pit be dug for her and she be buried in it up to her chest, then he ordered the people to stone her. Sayyiduna Khalid bin Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) came with a stone and struck her on the head, and when blood splattered on his cheek, he cursed her. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw that he was cursing her, he said: Khalid! Stop, do not curse her. By Him in Whose hand is my soul, she has repented such a repentance that if a tax collector were to repent like this, he would also be forgiven. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered regarding her, then he offered her funeral prayer and she was buried.
Hadith 6718
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Imran bin Husain (may Allah be pleased with him) that a woman from the Juhaina tribe confessed to adultery before the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I am pregnant. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called her guardian and said: Treat her well, and when she gives birth to the child, inform me. He did so. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave orders regarding the woman, so her clothes were tied tightly around her, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to be stoned, and she was stoned. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered her funeral prayer. Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! You stoned her and now you are offering her funeral prayer? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: She has repented with such a repentance that if it were distributed among seventy people of Madinah, it would suffice to forgive them all. Have you found anything superior to the fact that this woman sacrificed her life for the sake of Allah Almighty?
Hadith 6719
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he was present with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was mounted on his mule, and the mule was standing. People brought a pregnant woman to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The woman said: I have committed adultery, so stone me. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to her: Conceal yourself with the covering of Allah, and cover yourself. So she went back, but then she returned again while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was still mounted on his mule. She said: O Messenger of Allah! Stone me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Conceal yourself with the covering of Allah, and cover yourself. So she went back, but then she came a third time, while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was standing. This time, she held the reins of the Prophet’s mule and said: I beseech you by Allah, stone me. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go and come back after you have given birth to the child. So she gave birth to the child and came again, and spoke to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Go and come back after you are purified from blood. So she went away and later came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: I have become pure. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent women to her to examine whether she had become pure from blood. They came and testified before the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) that she had indeed become pure. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered a pit to be dug up to her chest, then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and other Muslims also gathered. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took a pebble the size of a chickpea and threw it at the woman, then he moved aside and said to the Muslims: Stone her, but protect her face. When she died, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered her to be taken out of the pit, then he offered her funeral prayer and said: If her reward were distributed among the people of Hijaz, it would be sufficient for them.
Hadith 6720
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: One of his slave girls committed adultery and because of that she became pregnant. I went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him of this. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Leave her until she gives birth, then carry out the prescribed punishment on her.
Hadith 6721
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a slave woman of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) committed adultery, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered me to carry out the prescribed punishment on her. But when I went to her, I found her in such a state that her postnatal bleeding had not yet stopped. I returned to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and informed him of the situation. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When her bleeding stops, then carry out the punishment on her. Carry out the prescribed punishments on your slaves as well.
