Hadith 6685
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, Sayyiduna Zayd bin Khalid al-Juhani, and Sayyiduna Shibl (may Allah be pleased with them), they say: We were present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when a man stood up and said: I beseech you by Allah to judge between us according to the Book of Allah. His opponent, who was more intelligent than him, also stood up and said: He is speaking the truth, judge between us according to the Book of Allah, and allow me to speak. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Speak. He said: My son was working for him as a laborer, and he committed adultery with his wife. I gave him one hundred sheep and a servant as compensation. Then, when I asked the people of knowledge, they told me that my son should be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year, and this man's wife should be stoned to death. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: By Him in Whose hand is my soul! I will judge between you according to the Book of Allah. The one hundred sheep and the servant will be returned to you, your son will be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year, and O Anas! Go to this man's wife, if she confesses to adultery, then stone her to death. When Sayyiduna Anas went to the woman, she confessed, so he stoned her to death. Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) was a man from the Banu Aslam tribe.
Hadith 6686
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that when revelation would descend upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace and blessings be upon him) would experience distress and pain, and his complexion would change. One day, when revelation descended upon him, the same condition overtook him. When this state ended, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Learn from me, learn from me. Allah Almighty has made the way clear for them. When a married man commits adultery with a married woman, and an unmarried man with an unmarried woman, then the married ones are to be flogged one hundred lashes and stoned, and the unmarried ones are to be flogged one hundred lashes and exiled for one year.
Hadith 6687
Narrated by Sayyiduna Salamah bin Muhabbaq (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Learn from me, learn from me, Allah Almighty has made the way clear for them. When an unmarried man commits adultery with an unmarried woman, they will be given one hundred lashes and exiled for one year. And when a married man commits adultery with a married woman, they will be given one hundred lashes and then stoned to death.
Hadith 6688
Imam Shabi says that a married adulterer was brought to Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him). He flogged him with one hundred lashes on Thursday, and then on Friday he stoned him to death. Someone said to him: "You have combined two punishments upon him?" He replied: "I flogged him in the light of the Book of Allah, and I stoned him in the light of the Sunnah of the Messenger."
Hadith 6689
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, gave the ruling regarding an unmarried adulterer that along with the prescribed punishment (hadd), he will also be exiled for one year.
