It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to kill dogs, and (so we killed the dogs) to the extent that we would even kill the dogs belonging to women coming from the villages. But later, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade killing dogs and said: Kill the black dog with two white spots on its eyes, for it is a devil.
