Abdur Rahman bin Aaidh, who was from the people of Syria, narrates: He says that Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Aamir (may Allah be pleased with him) went to Masjid Al-Aqsa to perform prayer, and some other people followed behind him. He said: Why have you come? The people said: The thing that brought us is your companionship with the Messenger of Allah; we wish to walk with you and to greet you with peace. He said: Dismount and perform prayer. The people dismounted, and he led them in prayer, and the people prayed with him. Then after completing the prayer with salam, Sayyiduna Uqbah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever meets Allah without associating anything with Him, and who is not involved in any unlawful bloodshed, will enter Paradise through whichever gate he wishes.
