Hadith 6433
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ أُمَّتِي الْقَرْنُ الَّذِي بُعِثْتُ فِيهِمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ وَاللَّهُ أَعْلَمُ أَقَالَ الثَّالِثَةَ أَمْ لَا ثُمَّ يَجِيءُ قَوْمٌ يُحِبُّونَ السَّمَانَةَ يَشْهَدُونَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يُسْتَشْهَدُوا
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best era in my Ummah is the one in which I am present, then the era of those who come after them, then the era of those who come after them. (The narrator says that I do not know whether the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said it a third time or not.) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then there will come people who will love obesity and will give testimony before it is asked for.
Hadith 6434
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَيْرُ النَّاسِ قَرْنِي ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ الَّذِينَ يَلُونَهُمْ ثُمَّ يَأْتِي بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ قَوْمٌ تَسْبِقُ شَهَادَاتُهُمْ أَيْمَانَهُمْ وَأَيْمَانُهُمْ شَهَادَاتِهِمْ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas’ud (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The best of people is my generation, then those who come after them, then those who come after them, then those who come after them. Then there will come people whose testimonies will precede their oaths, and their oaths will precede their testimonies.
