Hadith 6427

عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ خَائِنٍ وَلَا خَائِنَةٍ وَلَا ذِي غِمْرٍ عَلَى أَخِيهِ وَلَا تَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ الْقَانِعِ لِأَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ وَيَجُوزُ شَهَادَتُهُ لِغَيْرِهِمْ وَالْقَانِعُ الَّذِي يُنْفِقُ عَلَيْهِ أَهْلُ الْبَيْتِ وَفِي لَفْظٍ وَرَدَّ شَهَادَةَ الْقَانِعِ الْخَادِمِ التَّابِعِ لِأَهْلِ الْبَيْتِ وَأَجَازَهَا لِغَيْرِهِمْ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The testimony of a deceitful man or woman is not permissible, nor of one who harbors malice in his heart against his brother. Similarly, the testimony of a person who is a servant and subordinate of a family is also not permissible. Apart from these, the testimony of all other individuals is permissible. By "al-qani‘" is meant the person upon whom the household spends. In another narration: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) rejected the testimony of the one who is a servant and subordinate of a household in favor of the household, and declared the testimony of the rest of the individuals permissible.
Hadith 6428
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَجُوزُ شَهَادَةُ خَائِنٍ وَلَا مَحْدُودٍ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ وَلَا ذِي غِمْرٍ عَلَى أَخِيهِ
(Second chain) The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The testimony of a treacherous person is not permissible, nor of the one upon whom a legal punishment has been carried out in Islam, nor of the one who harbors malice against his brother.
