بَابُ النَّهْيِ عَنِ الْحُكْمِ فِي حَالَةِ الْغَضَبِ
Chapter: Prohibition of judging while angry
Hadith 6409
عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ أَمَرَهُ أَنْ يَكْتُبَ إِلَى ابْنٍ لَهُ وَكَانَ قَاضِيًا بِسِجِسْتَانَ: أَمَّا بَعْدُ، فَلَا تَحْكُمَنَّ بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَأَنْتَ غَضْبَانُ، فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: ((لَا يَحْكُمُ أَحَدٌ (وَفِي لَفْظٍ: لَا يَقْضِي الْحَاكِمُ) بَيْنَ اثْنَيْنِ وَهُوَ غَضْبَانُ))
It is narrated from Ibn Abi Bakrah that Sayyiduna Abu Bakrah (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter to one of his sons, who was a judge in the region of Sijistan: "Amma ba'd! When you are in a state of anger, do not judge between two people, because the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No man or ruler should judge between two individuals while in a state of anger."
Hadith 6410
عَنْ عُرْوَةَ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ جَدِّي قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ: ((إِذَا اسْتَشَاطَ السُّلْطَانُ تَسَلَّطَ الشَّيْطَانُ))
Narrated by Sayyiduna Atiyyah Sa'di (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When the ruler is extremely angry, at that moment Satan takes control.
