Hadith 6302
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الرُّقْبَى وَقَالَ مَنْ أُرْقِبَ فَهُوَ لَهُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade Raqba and said: Whatever is given to someone as Raqba will belong to him.
Hadith 6303
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا عُمْرَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no ‘Umra (temporary gift), and whatever is given to someone as ‘Umra will belong to him.
Hadith 6304
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ وَعَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ قَالَا أَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ أَخْبَرَنِي عَطَاءٌ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا عُمْرَى وَلَا رُقْبَى فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا أَوْ أُرْقِبَهُ فَهُوَ لَهُ حَيَاتَهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ قَالَ ابْنُ بَكْرٍ فِي حَدِيثِهِ قَالَ عَطَاءٌ وَالرُّقْبَى هِيَ أَيْضًا لِلْآخِرِ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ مِنِّي وَمِنْكَ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no ‘Umra and no Ruqba, and whoever is given something as ‘Umra or Ruqba, it will belong to him for his life and death. Ibn Bakr said in his hadith: Ata said that Ruqba will also become his. Abdur Razzaq said: From my side and from your side (i.e., if I die before you, then this thing is yours, and if you die before me, then it is mine).
Hadith 6305
عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَمْسِكُوا عَلَيْكُمْ أَمْوَالَكُمْ وَلَا تُعْطُوهَا أَحَدًا فَمَنْ أُعْمِرَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ لَهُ زَادَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ فَلَا تُفْسِدُوهَا فَإِنَّهُ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِلَّذِي أَعْمَرَهَا حَيًّا وَمَيِّتًا وَلِعَقِبِهِ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Withhold your wealth and do not give it to anyone; whatever is given to someone as 'Umra (a gift for life), it will belong to him. In another narration: Do not ruin your wealth; whoever gives something to someone as 'Umra, it will belong to him and his descendants, whether he remains alive or dies.
Hadith 6306
عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَنْ أَعْمَرَ عُمْرَى فَهِيَ لِمُعْمَرِهِ مَحْيَاهُ وَمَمَاتَهُ لَا تُرْقِبُوا فَمَنْ أَرْقَبَ شَيْئًا فَهُوَ سَبِيلُ الْمِيرَاثِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Zaid bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever gives something to someone as 'Umra, then in life and death it will belong to the one to whom it was given. Do not give anything as Ruqba; whoever gives something as Ruqba, it will enter into the routine of inheritance.
