Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding the virtue of Makkah on the day of the conquest of Makkah: Its trees should not be cut, its game should not be frightened, and its fallen property is not lawful for anyone except for the one who announces it.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) on the subject of the virtues of Makkah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This city is sacred. Then the narrator related the entire hadith, and among its words were: Its game should not be disturbed, nor should its lost property be picked up, except by one who will announce it.
