Hadith 6186
Abdullah bin Sa’ib narrates from his father, and he from his grandfather, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: None of you should actually take his companion’s belongings, nor in jest; if someone picks up his brother’s staff, he should return it to him.
Hadith 6187
Narrated from Sayyiduna Amr bin Yathrabi Dumari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I was present at the sermon of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in Mina. In the sermon that you (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered, you also said: It is not lawful for any man to take his brother's wealth except that which he gives willingly. Hearing this, I submitted: O Messenger of Allah! Please clarify this matter, for I see my nephew's goats and I take one of them and slaughter it—will this be a burden for me? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you find the goat or sheep in such a state that it is carrying a knife and a flint, even then do not touch it.
Hadith 6188
In one narration it is stated: The Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: If you find a goat in such a state that it is carrying a knife and a flint, and it is also in the region of Khabt al-Jameesh (which is a barren, low, and wide land between Makkah and Jaar, where there is no familiar thing), even then you cannot touch it.
Hadith 6189
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever seizes the wealth of a Muslim without right will meet Allah the Exalted in such a state that He will be angry with him.
Hadith 6190
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not lawful for a man to take his brother's wealth unjustly. The reason for this command is that Allah Almighty has declared the wealth of one Muslim unlawful for another Muslim. Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa'idi (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates another tradition that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: It is not lawful for a man to take his brother's staff without his consent. The reason for this statement is that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) strictly declared the wealth of a Muslim unlawful for another Muslim.
Hadith 6191
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever believes in Allah and the Last Day, it is not lawful for him to untie the teat of a she-camel without the permission of its owners, because this is like a seal on the animal's milk. And when you are in a deserted place and you find a full water-skin of milk there, then call out to the camel owners three times; if its owner gives you permission to drink, then drink, otherwise do not. And if you are in need and do not have food with you, then two of you should hold it and then you may drink.
Hadith 6192
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Beware! Do not milk someone’s cattle without their permission. Do you like that someone comes into your upper chamber, breaks its door, and takes away what is inside? In the same way, what is in the udders of the cattle belongs to their owners as food. Beware! Do not milk someone’s cattle without their permission or command.
Hadith 6193
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: We were on a journey with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and it so happened that our provisions ran out and we became needy. Then we passed by some she-camels whose udders were tied with strips of tree bark. People rushed towards them to milk them, but the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to them: It is possible that this is the food of some Muslim family. Would you like it if these people came and took your provisions? Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you have no other option, then drink here and do not take anything away with you.
