It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) designated a place called Naqi‘ as a pasture for his horses.

(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) designated the place of Naqi’ as a pasture for horses. Hammad says: I asked, “O Abu Abdur Rahman! Did he (peace and blessings be upon him) designate it specifically for his own horses?” He replied, “No, it was designated specifically for the horses of the Muslims.”

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Sa'b bin Jathamah Laithi, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, designated the place of Naqi' as a special pasture and said: The right to designate a pasture in this manner belongs only to Allah Almighty and His Messenger.
