Hadith 6153
عَنْ سَمُرَةَ بْنِ جُنْدُبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ عَلَى الْيَدِ مَا أَخَذَتْ حَتَّى تُؤَدِّيَهُ ثُمَّ نَسِيَ الْحَسَنُ قَالَ لَا يَضْمَنُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whatever the hand takes, it remains a responsibility upon him until he pays it back. Then Hasan Basri forgot and said: He is not liable.
Hadith 6154
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ لُقْمَانَ الْحَكِيمَ كَانَ يَقُولُ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِذَا اسْتُودِعَ شَيْئًا حَفِظَهُ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Luqman the Wise used to say that when something is entrusted to Allah Almighty, He protects it.
Hadith 6155
عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ اسْتَعَارَ مِنْهُ يَوْمَ حُنَيْنٍ أَدْرُعًا فَقَالَ أَغَصْبًا يَا مُحَمَّدُ قَالَ لَا بَلْ عَارِيَّةٌ مَضْمُونَةٌ قَالَ فَضَاعَ بَعْضُهَا فَعَرَضَ عَلَيْهِ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ أُضَمِّنَهَا لَهُ فَقَالَ أَنَا الْيَوْمَ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ فِي الْإِسْلَامِ أَرْغَبُ
Narrated from Sayyiduna Safwan bin Umayyah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) borrowed some armors from me on the day of Hunayn. I said: O Muhammad! Will they be seized? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, rather it is a loan for which a guarantee is given. It happened that some of the armors were lost, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) offered to pay their guarantee, but I (Safwan) said: O Messenger of Allah! These days I am inclined towards Islam (so how can I take this compensation now).
Hadith 6156
عَنْ صَفْوَانَ بْنِ يَعْلَى بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَتَتْكَ رُسْلِي فَأَعْطِهِمْ أَوْ قَالَ فَادْفَعْ إِلَيْهِمْ ثَلَاثِينَ دِرْعًا وَثَلَاثِينَ بَعِيرًا أَوْ أَقَلَّ مِنْ ذَلِكَ فَقَالَ لَهُ الْعَارِيَّةُ مُؤَدَّاةٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ قَالَ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَعَمْ
Sayyiduna Safwan bin Ya'la (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates from his father that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent a message to him that when my messengers come to you, give them thirty or less coats of mail and thirty or less camels. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Is this a loan that is to be returned? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes.
Hadith 6157
عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ الْبَاهِلِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ فِي خُطْبَةِ عَامِ حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ الْعَارِيَّةُ مُؤَدَّاةٌ وَالْمِنْحَةُ مَرْدُودَةٌ وَالدَّيْنُ مَقْضِيٌّ وَالزَّعِيمُ غَارِمٌ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah Bahili (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said in his sermon during the year of the Farewell Pilgrimage: Beware! A borrowed item (taken temporarily) must be returned, a grant (that which is given for benefit for a certain period) must also be returned, a loan must be repaid, and the guarantor of a thing is responsible for its payment.
Hadith 6158
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ أَرْبَعٌ إِذَا كُنَّ فِيكَ فَلَا عَلَيْكَ مَا فَاتَكَ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا مِنْهَا حِفْظُ أَمَانَةٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There are four things, if they are found in you, then nothing lost from the world will harm you. (One of these things) is safeguarding trust.
Hadith 6159
عَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ الصَّامِتِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اضْمَنُوا لِي سِتًّا مِنْ أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَضْمَنْ لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةَ وَأَدُّوا إِذَا ائْتُمِنْتُمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Guarantee me six things and I will guarantee you Paradise. (One of these things is) when a trust is placed with you, then fulfill it.
