Hadith 6137
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done on the two veins of the neck and between the two shoulders. A slave of Banu Bayadhah performed cupping for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and his wage was one and a half mudd. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) negotiated with his owners for a concession, and they reduced it by half a mudd. Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the slave the wage for cupping; if it had been unlawful, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would not have given it to him.
Hadith 6138
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had cupping done, and when the cupper finished, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "How much is your wage?" He said: "Two sa’." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bargained with him for a reduction of one sa’ and ordered me to pay him, so I gave him one sa’.
Hadith 6139
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that Abu Taybah performed cupping for the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave him a sa’ of grain and recommended his master to make things easy for him, so they reduced his burden.
Hadith 6140
It is also narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) had cupping done and he would not withhold anyone’s due (i.e., he would give him his wage).
