Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty said: On the Day of Resurrection, I will be the opponent of three persons, and whomever I oppose, I will overpower him: (1) The person who made a covenant in My name, but then broke it; (2) The person who sold a free man and consumed his price; and (3) The person who hired a laborer, took full work from him, but did not pay him his wages in full.

Another hadith is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), in which it is stated: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: On the last night of Ramadan, the people of my Ummah are forgiven. Someone asked: O Messenger of Allah! Is this the Night of Power (Laylat al-Qadr)? He (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: No, rather the fact is that when a worker completes his work, he is given his full wages.
