It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade employing a laborer before determining his wages, forbidden najsh sale, forbidden sale by touching, and forbidden sale by throwing a stone.
Hadith 6133
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Awf bin Malik Ashja'i, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: We participated in a battle in which our commander was Sayyiduna Amr bin Aas, may Allah be pleased with him. It happened that we were afflicted with severe hunger. We passed by a people who had slaughtered camels. I (Awf) said to them: If you let me eat from these, I can prepare the meat, etc., for you. They said: Fine. So I did their work and they gave me something to eat. I took it to Sayyiduna Umar bin Khattab, may Allah be pleased with him, but he refused to eat. Then I went to Sayyiduna Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah, may Allah be pleased with him, but he also refused to eat. Then, when on the occasion of the conquest of Makkah I was sent to the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, he asked: Are you the ones with the camels? I said: Yes, O Messenger of Allah! The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, did not say anything more than this.
Hadith 6134
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Once, when I was in Madinah, I became extremely hungry, so I went out towards the upper part of Madinah in search of some work. Suddenly, I saw a woman who had gathered clay and now wanted to make mortar from it. I went to her and agreed to take one date for every bucket (of water). So I drew sixteen buckets of water from the well, due to which blisters appeared on my hands. Then I brought that water and poured it on the clay, and then I came to that woman to receive my wages and spread my palms before her. The narrator Ismail described the manner by spreading and joining his hands. So the woman counted out sixteen dates and gave them to me. Then I took those dates and went to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him the whole story. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate those dates with me.
