It is narrated from Abu Minhal that Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam and Sayyiduna Bara’ bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do business together in partnership. Once, they bought silver, some of which was paid for in cash and some on credit. When the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) came to know of this, he ordered them to keep the transaction that was done in cash and to return what was done on credit.

Narrated by Sayyiduna Ruwayfi’ bin Thabit Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I used to participate in jihad with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and we used to do this: a man would buy a she-camel with half of his share of the spoils, and sometimes it would happen that someone would get an arrow from the spoils, and someone would get fruit and feathers.
