It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, at that time his (peace and blessings be upon him) armor was with a Jew as collateral in exchange for thirty sa’ of barley. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had borrowed that barley from the Jew for the sustenance of his family.

It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) passed away, his coat of mail was held in pledge for thirty saa’ of barley.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, deposited his armor as collateral with a Jew in Madinah and took some grain from him, and until his passing, there was not enough means for him, peace and blessings be upon him, to take it back.
