Hadith 5678
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman bin Hunaif (may Allah be pleased with him) that a blind man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Messenger of Allah! Pray to Allah Almighty that He grants me well-being. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: If you wish, I will delay this supplication, and it will be better for you in the Hereafter, and if you wish, I will supplicate for you. He said: No, rather you supplicate to Allah Almighty for me. So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered him to perform ablution, offer two units of prayer, and recite this supplication:
(O Allah! Indeed, I ask You and turn to You by means of Your Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet of mercy. O Muhammad! I turn with you to my Lord regarding this need of mine, so that it may be fulfilled. O Allah, accept his intercession for me and my intercession for myself.)
And the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Accept my intercession for him.
