It is narrated from Sayyiduna Mu'adh (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Preparation for anything does not benefit against destiny, but supplication benefits in matters that have already descended and in those that have not yet descended. Therefore, O servants of Allah! Hold fast to supplication.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no Muslim on the face of the earth who calls upon Allah Almighty, except that Allah grants him (what he asks), or averts from him an evil equal to that supplication.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a Muslim makes a supplication in which there is nothing sinful or anything involving breaking ties of kinship, Allah Almighty grants him one of three things: either his supplication is quickly accepted, or it is stored for him for the Hereafter, or an evil equal to it is averted from him. The Companions said: Then we will make many supplications. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah is even more generous.
