It is narrated from Sayyida Umm Hani bint Abu Talib (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: One day the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) passed by me. I said: O Messenger of Allah! I have become old and weak, so tell me something that I can do while sitting. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Say "Subhan Allah" one hundred (100) times; this act will be equal for you to freeing one hundred (100) slaves from the descendants of Ismail. Say "Alhamdulillah" one hundred (100) times; this act will be equal for you to giving one hundred (100) bridled and saddled horses in the way of Allah. Say "Allahu Akbar" one hundred (100) times; this act will be equal for you to those one hundred (100) camels which are garlanded and sent towards Makkah during the time of Hajj and are accepted by Allah. And say "La ilaha illallah" one hundred (100) times; this act will fill the space between the heavens and the earth with reward. On that day, no man's deed as great as this will be raised upwards, except for one who does the same as you have done.

I do not have the ability to learn the Noble Qur’an, so teach me some words that will suffice me in its place. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Recite these words: Subhan Allah, walhamdu lillah, wa la ilaha illallah, wallahu akbar, wa la hawla wa la quwwata illa billah. He said: O Messenger of Allah! All these words are for Allah Almighty, what is there for me? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Make this supplication: Allahumma ighfir li, warhamni, wa ‘afini, wahdini, warzuqni (O Allah, forgive me, have mercy on me, grant me well-being, guide me, and provide for me). Then he went away, and he had closed both his palms. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: He has filled both his hands with goodness and virtue.
