It is narrated from Ya'la bin Shaddad, he says: Our leader Shaddad bin Aus (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated to me, while Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) was also present and confirming it. He said: We were present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Is there any stranger among you? By this, he (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the People of the Book. We said: No, O Messenger of Allah! Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the door to be closed and said: Raise your hands and say: LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH (There is no god but Allah). So we kept our hands raised for a while, then the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) lowered his hand and said: Praise be to Allah, O Allah! You sent me with this word, You commanded me with this word, and You promised me Paradise for it, and surely You do not break Your promise. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Rejoice, indeed Allah Almighty has forgiven you.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: I said to the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him: On the Day of Resurrection, who will be most deserving of your intercession? The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: O Abu Hurairah! I thought that no one would ask me about this hadith before you, because I have seen your eagerness for hadith. The person who will be most deserving of my intercession on the Day of Resurrection will be the one who says "La ilaha illallah" sincerely and from his heart.
