Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Faith has sixty-four branches, the highest and most superior of them is "La ilaha illallah" (There is no god but Allah), and the lowest is removing something harmful from the path.
Hadith 5423
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Advise me." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you commit a bad deed, then follow it up with a good deed, so that it may erase the effect of that bad deed." I said, "O Messenger of Allah! Is 'La ilaha illallah' (There is no god but Allah) also a good deed?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is the most virtuous of good deeds."
Hadith 5424
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I wished that I had asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about the deed that would save us from those (whisperings and blameworthy matters) which Satan puts into our souls. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) this question, and he replied: Mention of that word will save you from these matters, the same word which I presented to my uncle, but he did not recite that word.
Hadith 5425
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: Allah Almighty caused His Prophet to pass away, while we had not yet asked what is the salvation in this matter. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I had asked this question to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). I got up and went to him and said: May my parents be sacrificed for you, you were more deserving of this. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is the salvation in this matter? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever accepted from me that word which I presented to my uncle, but he did not accept it, then that word will be salvation for him.
Hadith 5426

Abu Umar Zadhan narrates from a Companion that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Whoever is prompted to say LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH at the time of death will enter Paradise.
Hadith 5428
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I went to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing white clothes and he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping. I went again to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to talk, but this time too he (peace and blessings be upon him) was sleeping. When I went to him (peace and blessings be upon him) the third time, he (peace and blessings be upon him) had woken up, so I went and sat with him (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever says LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH (There is no god but Allah) and dies upon it, will enter Paradise. I said: Even if he has committed adultery and theft? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Even if he has committed adultery and theft. I asked again: Even if he has committed adultery and theft? This happened three times. The fourth time, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: May Abu Dharr’s nose be rubbed in dust. Sayyiduna Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) left dragging his lower garment and saying: Even if Abu Dharr’s nose be rubbed in dust. Then whenever he narrated this hadith, at the end he would say: Even if Abu Dharr’s nose be rubbed in dust.

(There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah, He is One, Unique, Self-Sufficient, He has neither a wife nor a child, and there is none comparable to Him) forty thousand good deeds will be written for him.
Hadith 5430
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) that a Bedouin came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He was wearing a green shawl cloak, which was fastened with silk. He said: "Your companion wants the shepherds to be elevated and the horsemen to be lowered." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) stood up in anger, grabbed him by the chest and shook him, and said: "I do not want to see the clothing of fools on you." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) returned and sat down and said: "Indeed, when the time of death of Nuh (peace be upon him) approached, he called his sons and said: 'I am about to give you advice. I command you with two things and forbid you from two things. I forbid you from shirk (associating partners with Allah) and arrogance, and I command you with La ilaha illallah. If the heavens, the earths, and all that is between them were placed on one side of the scale, and La ilaha illallah on the other side, the latter would outweigh them. And if the heavens and the earth were a ring, and La ilaha illallah was placed upon it, this word would break it. And I command you to say Subhanallahi wa bihamdihi, for it is the prayer of everything, and by it everything is provided with sustenance."
Hadith 5431
Thabit says: A resident of Syria narrated to us, that man used to stay with Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr bin Aas (may Allah be pleased with him) and would listen to his words. He says: Once I was with him when he met Nauf. Nauf said: It has been conveyed to us that Allah Almighty said to the angels: Call My servants for Me. They said: O Lord! How should we call them when there are seven heavens as barriers before them and above them is the Throne? Allah Almighty said: When they say LAA ILAAHA ILLALLAH, then they will respond.
Hadith 5432
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that Nauf and Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) both gathered together. Nauf said: If the heavens, the earths, and all the creatures between them are placed on one side of a scale, and "La ilaha illallah" is placed on the other side, the latter side will outweigh the former. And if the heavens, the earth, and all the creatures between them are made into a layer of iron and "La ilaha illallah" is placed upon it, then this word will pierce through it and reach Allah Almighty.
Hadith 5433
Kathir bin Murrah says: Sayyiduna Mu'adh bin Jabal (may Allah be pleased with him) said during his illness of death: I heard a hadith from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), I kept it hidden from you, now I am narrating it. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever's last words are "La ilaha illallah" (There is no god but Allah), Paradise will become obligatory for him.
