Hadith 5390
It is narrated from some Ansari companions that an Ansari man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) on the day of the conquest of Makkah, while the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was sitting in a gathering near Maqam Ibrahim. He greeted the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Prophet of Allah! I had made a vow that if Allah granted victory over Makkah to His Prophet and the believers, I would go to Bayt al-Maqdis and pray there. Now I have found a man from among the people of Syria who will go with me and also return with me. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then pray here. That man repeated his statement three times, and each time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the same reply: Then pray here. When he repeated his statement a fourth time, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then go and pray there. By the One Who sent Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) with the truth, if you had prayed here, this act would have sufficed you for every prayer in Bayt al-Maqdis.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both) that a man said on the day of the conquest of Makkah: O Messenger of Allah! I had vowed that if Allah granted you victory over Makkah, I would pray in Bayt al-Maqdis. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Pray here. He repeated his question, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I am telling you, pray here. He repeated the same question again, so this time the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Then do as you wish.

Hadith 5392
It is narrated from Ibrahim bin Abdullah, he says that a woman became ill and she made a vow that if Allah Almighty granted her recovery, she would definitely go and pray in Bayt al-Maqdis. When she recovered and was about to depart, she came to Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). She greeted the Mother of the Believers and told her the whole matter. Sayyida said: Sit down, eat the food I have prepared, and pray in the Prophet’s Mosque, because I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: One prayer in my mosque is better than a thousand prayers in other mosques, except for al-Masjid al-Haram.
