It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Abdur Rahman Safeena, he says: Sayyida Umm Salama (may Allah be pleased with her) set me free, but she stipulated the condition that I would serve the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as long as he (peace and blessings be upon him) remained alive.

With the first chain of narration, it is also narrated from Sayyiduna Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever becomes the owner of a close blood relative, then such a slave will become free.
Narrated by Sayyiduna Samurah bin Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever becomes the owner of a mahram relative, that person will become free.
