بَابُ مَا جَاءَ فِي الْإِبِل
Chapter on What Has Been Reported Regarding Camels
Hadith 5205
عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نِعْمَ الْإِبِلُ الثَّلَاثُونَ يُحْمَلُ عَلَى نَجِيبِهَا وَتُعِيرُ أَدَاتَهَا وَتُمْنَحُ غَزِيرَتُهَا وَيُجْبِيهَا يَوْمَ وِرْدِهَا فِي أَعْطَانِهَا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: The best number of camels is thirty; among them, the finest camel is ridden, its bucket is lent, the milking she-camel is given as a gift, and on the day of watering, when they are gathered in their enclosures, they are milked and (the milk is) given to the needy.
Hadith 5206
عَنْ عَبَّادِ بْنِ تَمِيمٍ أَنَّ أَبَا بَشِيرٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي بَعْضِ أَسْفَارِهِ فَأَرْسَلَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَسُولًا لَا يَبْقَيَنَّ فِي رَقَبَةِ بَعِيرٍ قِلَادَةٌ مِنْ وَتَرٍ وَلَا قِلَادَةٌ إِلَّا قُطِعَتْ قَالَ إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ وَأَحْسِبُهُ قَالَ وَالنَّاسُ فِي مِيَاهِهِمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Bashir Ansari, may Allah be pleased with him, who says: We were with the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, on a journey. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, sent a messenger who was announcing that no necklace should be left on the neck of a camel, whether it is made of string or anything else. The narrator Ismail says: I think at that time people were at the watering places. (Musnad Ahmad: 22232)
