Hadith 5178
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked about the horse, he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Goodness has been tied to the forelocks of horses until the Day of Resurrection. For some, a horse is a source of reward, for some a means of covering, and for some a cause of sin. The horse that is a source of reward is the one which a person keeps for the sake of Allah’s path. Whatever that horse eats, there is reward in it for its owner, and when it walks up to one or two hills, for every step its owner receives reward. If a stream comes before it and it drinks water from it, for every drop it drinks, the owner receives reward. To the extent that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) even mentioned the reward for its dung and urine.
