Hadith 5072
It is narrated from Abu Juwayriyah, he says: I found a red jar in the land of Rome, in which there were dinars. This was during the caliphate of Sayyiduna Amir Muawiyah (may Allah be pleased with him). A companion named Ma'n bin Yazid from the tribe of Banu Sulaym was our leader. I brought that jar to him so that he could distribute it among the Muslims. Then he gave me as much wealth as he was giving to the other individuals and said: If I had not heard this from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and had not seen him do so, I would have given it all to you. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no extra share except after the khums (one-fifth). Then he presented my share to me, but I refused and said: I am not more deserving of it than you.
