Hadith 5057
عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَّلَ الرُّبْعَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ فِي بَدْأَتِهِ وَنَفَّلَ الثُّلُثَ بَعْدَ الْخُمُسِ فِي رَجْعَتِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Habib bin Maslamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) at the beginning of the (expedition's) journey, after taking out the khums, gave an additional one-fourth share, and upon return, after taking out the khums, gave an additional one-third share.
Hadith 5058
عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ مَسْلَمَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ شَهِدْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَّلَ الرُّبْعَ فِي الْبَدْأَةِ وَالثُّلُثَ فِي الرَّجْعَةِ قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ لَيْسَ فِي الشَّامِ رَجُلٌ أَصَحُّ حَدِيثًا مِنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ يَعْنِي التَّنُوخِيَّ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Habib bin Maslamah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: I myself was present with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) initially gave a quarter, and on return gave an additional one third. Abu Abdur Rahman said: I heard my father say: I have not seen any man in Syria who has more authentic hadiths than Saeed bin Abdul Aziz Tannukhi.
Hadith 5059
وَعَنْ عُبَادَةَ بْنِ صَامِتٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَفَّلَ فِي الْبَدَائَةِ الرُّبْعَ وَفِي الرَّجْعَةِ الثُّلُثَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) initially gave a quarter share, and upon return, gave an additional one-third share.
Hadith 5060
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَغَارَ فِي أَرْضِ الْعَدُوِّ نَفَّلَ الرُّبْعَ وَإِذَا أَقْبَلَ رَاجِعًا وَكَلَّ النَّاسُ نَفَلَ الثُّلُثَ وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ الْأَنْفَالَ وَيَقُولُ لِيَرُدَّ قَوِيُّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ عَلَى ضَعِيفِهِمْ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna ‘Ubada (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was going to attack enemy territory, he would give an extra fourth share, and when returning and the people were tired, he would give an extra third share. In fact, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked extra shares and said: The strong believer should return (his share) to the weak ones.
Hadith 5061
وَعَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ بَعَثَنَا نَبِيُّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي سَرِيَّةٍ بَلَغَتْ سُهْمَانُنَا اثْنَيْ عَشَرَ بَعِيرًا وَنَفَّلَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعِيرًا بَعِيرًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), he says: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) sent us in an army, twelve camels were allotted to our shares, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) gave each of us one extra camel as well.
Hadith 5062
عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى الْأَشْعَرِيِّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَنْفُلُ فِي مَغَازِيهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) used to give an extra share in his expeditions.
