Hadith 5013
عَنْ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا قَاتَلَ قَوْمًا فَهَزَمَهُمْ أَقَامَ بِالْعَرْصَةِ ثَلَاثًا وَفِي لَفْظٍ لَمَّا فَرَغَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَدْرٍ أَقَامَ بِالْعَرْصَةِ ثَلَاثًا
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him) that when the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fought against any people and defeated them, he would stay in the open field for three days. In another narration: When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) finished with the people of Badr, he stayed in the open field for three days.
Hadith 5014
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا غَلَبَ قَوْمًا أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُقِيمَ بِعَرْصَتِهِمْ ثَلَاثًا وَفِي لَفْظٍ ثَلَاثَ لَيَالٍ
(Second chain) When the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, prevailed over any people, he liked to stay in their open field for three days.
