It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) said: The martyrs are on one side of a river in a green dome at the gate of Paradise; morning and evening their sustenance comes to them from Paradise.

Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, the souls of the martyrs are in green birds, hanging from the fruits or trees of Paradise.
Hadith 4877
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) promised us the battle of India. If I am martyred in it, then I will be the best of martyrs, and if I return from it, then Abu Hurairah will return freed from the Fire.
Hadith 4878
Narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The martyr does not feel any pain from being killed, except like the pain one of you feels from a pinch or a sting.
Hadith 4879
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Every wound that a Muslim receives in the path of Allah will appear on the Day of Resurrection in the same state as when it was inflicted, with blood flowing from it; its color will be that of blood, but its fragrance will be that of musk.
Hadith 4880
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) also narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Allah Almighty laughs at two men, although one of them kills the other, but both enter Paradise. The people asked: O Messenger of Allah! How is that? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: One is martyred and enters Paradise, then Allah turns towards the other, that is, the killer, and guides him to Islam, then he fights in the way of Allah and is martyred.
Hadith 4881

When we approached it, we saw that there were some graves at the lower part of the valley. We said: O Messenger of Allah! These are the graves of our brothers. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are the graves of our companions. Then we moved forward until we reached the graves of the martyrs. There the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: These are the graves of our brothers.

Syedna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that an Ansari man came to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he was laden with iron weapons. He said: O Messenger of Allah! Should I accept Islam first or fight? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: No, you should accept Islam first and then fight. So he became Muslim and then fought, until he was martyred. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: This person did little action, but he was given a great reward.
Hadith 4883
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Nu’aim bin Hammar (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man asked the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which martyrs are the most virtuous?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "They are those people who, when facing the enemy in the ranks, turn their faces towards them until they are martyred. These are the people who walk in the lofty chambers of Paradise, and their Lord smiles at them. And when your Lord smiles at someone in this world, there is no reckoning for him."
Hadith 4884
Narrated from Sayyiduna Miqdam bin Ma’di Karib Kindi (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Indeed, with Allah, the martyr has six qualities: As soon as his blood is shed, he is forgiven; at that very moment, he sees his abode in Paradise; he is dressed in the garment of faith; he is married to large-eyed houris; he is given protection from the punishment of the grave; he remains safe from the great terror; a crown of dignity is placed on his head, the value of one of its pearls is better than the world and whatever is in it; he is married to seventy-two large-eyed houris; and his intercession is accepted for seventy of his relatives.

Narrated from Sayyiduna Qais Jazami (may Allah be pleased with him), who was a person honored with the companionship (of the Prophet), that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Six qualities are granted to the martyr: With the very first drop of his blood, all his sins are forgiven; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is married to women with intensely white and black eyes (huris); he is kept safe from the greatest fear and the punishment of the grave; and he is clothed with the garment of faith.
Hadith 4886
Sayyiduna Ubadah bin Samit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no soul on earth that dies and has good with Allah, and yet would like to return to the world, except for the martyr in the way of Allah. Indeed, he wishes to return and be martyred again.
Hadith 4887
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: The mention of a martyr was made in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The earth does not yet dry from the martyr’s blood when his two wives rush towards him, as if they are two wet nurses who are shading their child in a barren land or shading him upon finding a lost child. Each of them has a garment in her hand, the value of which is greater than the world and whatever is in it.
