It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rafi’ (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When Sayyidah Fatimah (may Allah be pleased with her) gave birth to Sayyiduna Hasan (may Allah be pleased with him), I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) that he gave the call to prayer (adhan) in both of his ears.

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: When Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abi Talha (may Allah be pleased with him) was born, I took him to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was wearing a cloak and was applying some sulfur to his camel. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Do you have any dates?" I said: "Yes." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took those dates, chewed them in his blessed mouth, then took the child and gave him tahneek in such a way that the child opened his mouth and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) put the chewed material from his mouth into the child's mouth, and the child ate it and began to taste its flavor. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The Ansar love nothing except dates." Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) named the child Abdullah.
It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), she says: I brought the son of Zubair to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him a date and said: This is Abdullah and you are Umm Abdullah.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Musa Ash'ari (may Allah be pleased with him), he says: A child was born to me, when I brought him to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he (peace be upon him) named him Ibrahim and gave him a date to chew.
