Hadith 4699
عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يَبْقَى مِنْ نُسُكِكُمْ عِنْدَكُمْ شَيْءٌ بَعْدَ ثَلَاثٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) forbade that anything from your sacrificial animals remain after three days.
Hadith 4700
عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَطَاءِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ مَوْلَى الزُّبَيْرِ عَنْ أُمِّهِ وَجَدَّتِهِ أُمِّ عَطَاءٍ قَالَتَا وَاللَّهِ لَكَأَنَّنَا نَنْظُرُ إِلَى الزُّبَيْرِ ابْنِ الْعَوَّامِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ حِينَ أَتَانَا عَلَى بَغْلَةٍ لَهُ بَيْضَاءَ فَقَالَ يَا أُمَّ عَطَاءٍ إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدْ نَهَى الْمُسْلِمِينَ أَنْ يَأْكُلُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ نُسُكِهِمْ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثٍ قَالَتْ فَقُلْتُ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ فَكَيْفَ نَصْنَعُ بِمَا أُهْدِيَ لَنَا فَقَالَ أَمَّا مَا أُهْدِيَ لَكُنَّ فَشَأْنَكُنَّ بِهِ
Abdullah bin Ata narrates from his mother and grandmother Umm Ata, she says: It is as if even now we are seeing Sayyiduna Zubair bin Al-Awwam (may Allah be pleased with him), when he came to us on a white mule and said: O Umm Ata! Indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the Muslims from eating the meat of their sacrifices after three days. She said: May my father be sacrificed for you, what is the ruling about the meat that is given to us as a gift? He said: Whatever is given to you as a gift, you may use it as you wish.
Hadith 4701
عَنْ نَافِعٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَأْكُلْ أَحَدُكُمْ مِنْ أُضْحِيَّتِهِ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ إِذَا غَابَتِ الشَّمْسُ مِنَ الْيَوْمِ الثَّالِثِ لَا يَأْكُلُ مِنْ لَحْمِ هَدْيِهِ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: None of you should eat from his sacrificial meat for more than three days. Imam Nafi’ says: When the sun would set on the third day, Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with him, would not eat from his sacrificial meat.
