Hadith 4599
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would return from any battle, Hajj, or Umrah journey, and would ascend a hard and elevated part of the land or any high place, he would recite this supplication: Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest... and He alone defeated the confederates. (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest, there is no deity except Him, He is alone and has no partner, sovereignty belongs to Him and all praise is for Him, and He has power over all things. We are returning (to our homeland), repenting (from disobedience to obedience), prostrating, worshipping, and praising our Lord. Allah fulfilled His promise, helped His servant, and He alone defeated the armies.)
Hadith 4600
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned from Hajj, he performed prayer in the valley of Batha. Then, when he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Madinah Munawwarah, he made his camel kneel at the door of the mosque and entered the mosque to perform prayer, then proceeded towards his home. Imam Nafi’ says: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to do the same.
Hadith 4601
Habib bin Abi Thabit says: I went out with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) to meet those returning from the performance of Hajj; we would greet them with salam before they became soiled due to sins.
Hadith 4602
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: When you meet a pilgrim, greet him with peace and shake hands with him, and ask him to pray for your forgiveness before he enters his house, because at that time he is forgiven.
