Hadith 4571
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said at the beginning of the day on the tenth of Dhul-Hijjah, while he was in Mina: "Tomorrow we will stay at Khayf Bani Kinana, where the disbelievers had sworn oaths against the Muslims." By this, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, meant the valley of Muhassab. The details of this are that the Quraysh and Banu Kinana had made an agreement at this place against Banu Hashim and Banu Muttalib that they would neither marry with them nor buy or sell with them until they handed over the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, to them.
Hadith 4572
Lady Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), while narrating the story of her Umrah after Hajj, says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman (may Allah be pleased with him): Go with your sister (Aisha) and have her perform the Tawaf of the House of Allah and the Sa’i between Safa and Marwah, so that she may complete her Umrah, then bring her back to me, but before I spend the night at Hasbah (that is, return during the night). Lady (may Allah be pleased with her) says that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed there only because of me. The words of another narration are as follows: The Lady (may Allah be pleased with her) says: You (peace and blessings be upon him) departed from Mina and stayed in the valley of Muhassab. By Allah! You stayed there only because of me.
Hadith 4573
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that staying in the valley of Abtah is not a Sunnah; the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) only stayed there because it was convenient for him (to depart towards Madinah) from there.
Hadith 4574
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that there is no legal status for staying in the valley of Muhassab; it is merely a place where the Messenger of Allah stayed.
Hadith 4575
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) did not consider staying in the valley of Abtah (i.e., the valley of Muhassab) to have any religious significance. Rather, he used to say regarding it that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed there (coincidentally) because of Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her).
Hadith 4576
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the Zuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha prayers in the valley of Muhassab, and after that, he (peace and blessings be upon him) lay down. Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) entered Makkah and performed the farewell circumambulation (Tawaf al-Wada') of the House of Allah.
Hadith 4577
Bakr bin Abdullah narrates that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to sleep for a while in the valley of Batha, and he used to narrate that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) had done the same.
Hadith 4578
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), all these personalities used to stay in the valley of Muhassab.
