بَابُ الرُّخْصَةِ فِي تَقْدِيمِ وَقْتِ الدَّفْعِ لِلضَّعَفَةِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ وَغَيْرِهِنَّ قَبْلَ الزِّحَامِ
Chapter: Concession for the Weak Among Women and Others to Leave Early Before the Crowds
Hadith 4488
عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ مَوْلَى أَسْمَاءَ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا أَنَّهَا نَزَلَتْ عِنْدَ دَارِ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فَقَالَتْ: أَيْ بُنَيَّ هَلْ غَابَ الْقَمَرُ؟ لَيْلَةَ جَمْعٍ وَهِيَ تُصَلِّي قُلْتُ: لَا فَصَلَّتْ سَاعَةً ثُمَّ قَالَتْ: أَيْ بُنَيَّ هَلْ غَابَ الْقَمَرُ؟ قَالَ: وَقَدْ غَابَ الْقَمَرُ قُلْتُ: نَعَمْ قَالَتْ: فَارْتَحِلُوا فَارْتَحَلْنَا ثُمَّ مَضَيْنَا بِهَا حَتَّى رَمَيْنَا الْجَمْرَةَ ثُمَّ رَجَعَتْ فَصَلَّتِ الصُّبْحَ فِي مَنْزِلِهَا فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: أَيْ هَنْتَاهُ لَقَدْ غَلَّسْنَا قَالَتْ: كَلَّا يَا بُنَيَّ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ لِلظُّعُنِ
Mawla of Asma, Abdullah, narrates that Sayyida Asma (may Allah be pleased with her) was staying near the place where people were staying. She used to ask: "Young son! Has the moon set?" This was the night of Muzdalifah and she was praying. I said: "No." Then she prayed for a while and asked: "Son! Has the moon set?" At that time, the moon had set. I said: "Yes." Upon hearing this, she said: "Let us go." So we set out and went and performed the stoning of Jamrat al-Aqabah. After that, she returned and performed the Fajr prayer at her place. I said: "Respected lady, we have done this very early." She replied: "Son! Not at all. The Prophet of Allah gave permission for weak women to do so."
Hadith 4489
عَنِ الْفَضْلِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ ضَعَفَةَ بَنِي هَاشِمٍ أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يَتَعَجَّلُوا مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Fadl bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him and his family) instructed the weak people of Banu Hashim to depart early from Muzdalifah during the night.
Hadith 4490
عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا: أَنَا مِمَّنْ قَدَّمَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْلَةَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ فِي ضَعَفَةِ أَهْلِهِ وَقَالَ مَرَّةً: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدَّمَ ضَعَفَةَ أَهْلِهِ
Narrated by Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, sent ahead the weak members of his family from Muzdalifah during the night; I was among them. In another narration, it is stated: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him and his family, sent ahead the weak members of his family.
Hadith 4491
وَعَنْهُ أَيْضًا قَالَ: بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي الثَّقَلِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas, may Allah be pleased with him, he says: On the night of Muzdalifah, the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, sent me along with the weak and heavy (elderly) people (towards Mina).
Hadith 4492
عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ قَاسِمٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: كَانَتْ سَوْدَةُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا امْرَأَةً ثَبِطَةً ثَقِيلَةً فَاسْتَأْذَنَتْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنْ تُفِيضَ مِنْ جَمْعٍ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَفِيضَ فَأَذِنَ لَهَا قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: وَدِدْتُ أَنِّي كُنْتُ اسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ فَأَذِنَ لِي وَكَانَ الْقَاسِمُ يَكْرَهُ أَنْ يُفِيضَ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَقِفَ
Narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that Sayyida Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her) was a woman of heavy build, so she sought permission from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) to depart for Mina before the standing at Muzdalifah after Fajr. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) granted her permission to go. Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) said: I wished that I had also sought permission from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), he would have granted me permission as well. Qasim did not consider it good to go towards Mina before the standing at Muzdalifah.
Hadith 4493
(وَعَنْهُ مِنْ طَرِيقٍ ثَانٍ) عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ: إِنَّمَا أَذِنَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِسَوْدَةَ بِنْتِ زَمْعَةَ فِي الْإِفَاضَةِ قَبْلَ الصُّبْحِ مِنْ جَمْعٍ لِأَنَّهَا كَانَتْ امْرَأَةً ثَبِطَةً
(Second chain) It is narrated from Sayyida Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted Sayyida Sawda (may Allah be pleased with her) to depart from Muzdalifah before the Fajr prayer, because she was heavy-bodied.
Hadith 4494
عَنِ ابْنِ شَوَّالٍ أَنَّهُ دَخَلَ عَلَى أُمِّ حَبِيبَةَ (زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَرَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهَا) فَأَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَدَّمَهَا مِنْ جَمْعٍ بِلَيْلٍ
Ibn Shawal says that he went to Sayyida Umm Habibah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she stated that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had sent her from Muzdalifah to Mina during the night.
Hadith 4495
عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَآلِهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَذِنَ لِضَعَفَةِ النَّاسِ مِنَ الْمُزْدَلِفَةِ بِلَيْلٍ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had permitted the weak people to leave Muzdalifah at night.
